Jadavpur University Shines In QS World University Rankings, JNU Ranked Highest In India

In a notable twist, Jadavpur University emerges as a beacon of excellence in India's academic landscape, securing a significant position in subject-based world rankings.

According to the latest QS World University Rankings, Jadavpur University has clinched a spot alongside Delhi University in the Philosophy Department, marking a remarkable achievement for Indian institutions. This collaboration places them among the top three Indian universities in this category, outperforming expectations.

On a separate note, IIT Kharagpur shines proudly in the realm of education, partnering with Delhi University in the fields of agriculture and construction. Their combined efforts elevate them to the 251-300 bracket globally.

In the QS World University Rankings, it's evident that Indian educational institutions have excelled notably, with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) leading the pack. JNU has forged strong partnerships with Delhi University in English literature, linguistics, anthropology, and history, establishing itself as a frontrunner. Additionally, JNU has shown exceptional prowess in development studies, sociology, and geography.

The QS rankings reveal that a total of 69 educational institutions from India participated in the evaluation this year, with JNU, Delhi University, Jadavpur University, and IIT Kharagpur showcasing outstanding performances.

However, despite these notable achievements, Indian universities still lag behind their global counterparts in many aspects. The QS World University Rankings indicate that while 72% of Indian universities have shown improvement, 187% have witnessed a decline in their standings.

While Indian universities celebrate significant milestones in the QS World University Rankings, there remains room for further enhancement to compete effectively on the global stage.
