Musical Tribute at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, Bengal’s Baul Singer Purnadas To Enchant With Raga Seva

In the sacred city of Ayodhya, a new destination has joined the pilgrimage list: the Ram Mandir. Devotees have gathered since the inauguration, but even before the consecration of ‘Ramlalla’, the city on the banks of the Sarayu River has witnessed waves of devotees. Now, after five years, everyone is converging to witness the divine presence of Ramlala.

For the little deity, devotees are bringing new offerings every day. The atmosphere is filled with various events surrounding the temple. This time, starting on January 26, the Ram Mandir will resonate with Raga Seva. Following traditional practices, for 45 days, the temple will be adorned with dance and music as an ode to Ramlalla.

Renowned artists such as Hema Malini, Anuradha Parwal, Padma Shri awardee Padma Subrahmanyam, and the acclaimed Baul singer Purnadas from Bengal will grace the temple with their performances. It has been revealed that from February 1, the soulful tunes of artist Purnadas Baul will resonate within the sacred walls of the Ram Mandir.

In a statement to the media, Purnadas expressed his joy, stating that Bauls, who wander from village to village, have always kept the thoughts of Ramlala close to their hearts. Gratefully acknowledging the opportunity, he conveyed his sincere thanks.

On the other hand, the security at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir is stringent. Pilgrims are flocking to witness Ramlalla, and the crowds are growing each day. On Tuesday, the Ram devotees faced unprecedented chaos, creating a challenging situation in Ayodhya.

According to sources in the Uttar Pradesh administration, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is receiving real-time updates. Sanjay Prasad, the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, and Prashant Kumar, the ADG (Law and Order), have been assigned the responsibility to closely monitor the situation.

The Deputy Commandant of the RAF shared additional information, stating that nearly a thousand security personnel have been deployed both inside and outside the Ram Mandir to ensure the safety of the devotees.
