Weather Update In Bengal: Rain Expected In Two Days In South Bengal, Will Heatwave Resume In Other Districts?

Residents of Bengal have been experiencing unsettled weather for the past few days. Now, it seems like rain is bidding farewell to the state. Thunderstorms are expected to hit the region soon, followed by a rise in temperatures. The Alipore Weather Office has forecast mild to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in all districts of southern Bengal on Monday.

However, the amount of rainfall may decrease from Wednesday onward. Then, from Thursday onwards, heavy rainfall is likely to occur in most districts of southern Bengal. Only Purulia, Paschim Medinipur, Paschim Bardhaman, Murshidabad, and Birbhum may experience rainfall. Meteorologists suggest that rainfall may decrease in these districts from Friday onwards.

According to the weather office, the sky over Kolkata will remain cloudy on Monday. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will hover around 26 degrees Celsius. Despite the cloudy weather, the humidity will remain high.

However, the question remains: will the scorching heat return? The weather office has indicated that temperatures in Bengal will gradually rise over the next few days, starting on Friday. However, they have not made any comments regarding the possibility of a heatwave.

Furthermore, it has been reported that apart from Malda and South Dinajpur in North Bengal, rainfall is expected in all other districts of southern Bengal until Sunday. Wind speeds may reach 30 to 40 kilometres per hour during this time. After Sunday, the intensity of rainfall may decrease in North Bengal.
