Seeing the recent eccentric outbreak in eight wards, water supply and water management tops the priority list for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Water booster pumping stations are built in different places where uninterrupted filtered water is to be provided.

There are several places in Tollygunge which still depend on ground water. Keeping this in mind, a pipeline has been placed from James Long Sarani via New Alipur and Deshpran Sashmal Road. This supplies water to Ranikuthi and Lyalkar booster pumping station. Kolkata Municipal Corporation shall even provide 12 hours of uninterrupted water supply in Cassipore dumdum area.

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation shall even build more zero waste stations all over the city for the local shop owners as well as the pedestrians. About a hundred hydraulic battery operated systems are planned to be installed in the city. Around seventy-six such stations are already planted all over the city.

With Kolkata Municipal Corporation taking up such initiatives, the city of joy will surely be a better, greener and safer place to live in.
