On 27th September, veteran Bengali actor Dwijen Bandyopadhyay, a well known name in theatre as well as cinema, passed away at his residence. He was 68 years old.
He played in both intellectual and mainstream films along with Group Theatre of Kolkata. He constituted his own theatre group Sanstab in 1992.
He passed away of a massive cardiac arrest at his residence at around 2 a.m.
Dwijen Banerjee was known for acting particularly Autograph (2010), Jekhane Bhooter Bhoy (2012), Haw Bodol (2013), Aschorjyo Prodip (2013), Badshahi Angti (2014) and Jaatishwar (2014).
