The buzz surrounding the latest variant of the Toyota Innova Crysta has been palpable for quite some time, and now it has finally made its debut in the market. Toyota Kirloskar Motors has introduced a new GX+ variant to its Innova Crysta MPV lineup.
Let's delve into the details of this new addition to the lineup. The Toyota Innova Crysta GX+ variant comes equipped with diamond-cut alloy wheels and auto-fold mirrors. Inside, it boasts wooden panelling in the cabin, premium fabric seats, a rearview camera, and a dashboard adorned with soft-touch materials. Unlike other variants, the GX+ variant is paired with a 2.4-litre diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, producing a power output of 150 bhp and torque of 343 Nm.
What are the new features included in this model? Reports suggest that this variant comes with LED fog lamps, a rear defogger, front parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera setup. Additionally, it features new fabric seat covers, soft-touch materials on the dashboard, and a chestnut interior theme. Furthermore, compared to the GX trim, the GX+ trim offers more than 14 additional features, albeit at a price increase of approximately 1.4 lakh rupees.
Speaking of pricing, the Toyota Innova Crysta GX+ variant is available in 7-seater and 8-seater configurations, with prices starting at 21.39 lakh rupees and 21.44 lakh rupees, respectively, in the showroom. However, prices may vary across different states.
Last month, the company also launched a new variant called the Toyota Innova Crysta Hycross GX (O), available in 7-seater and 8-seater layouts. The 7-seater version is priced at 21.13 lakh rupees, while the 8-seater model comes in at 20.99 lakh rupees.
Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motors, highlighted that since its launch in 2005, the Innova brand has established itself as a segment leader by setting standards of quality and reliability. It has successfully catered to the various demands of Indian consumers while maintaining its own integrity.
