The weather office suggests that Darjeeling district may witness rain on Friday and Saturday.

Adding to the forecast, the weather office predicts a gradual rise in temperatures over the next two to three days due to an extensive cyclonic circulation from South Bengal to Jharkhand. Night temperatures might see an increase of 3 to 4 degrees Celsius, ranging from South Bangladesh to Jharkhand.

As the week unfolds, Kolkata, with its minimum temperature touching 13.4 degrees Celsius, experienced a chilly start today. Although the morning hinted at a potential chill, the day saw a gradual thawing, with partial cloud cover expected throughout the day. In retrospect, yesterday marked Kolkata's coldest day this season, with the minimum temperature recorded at 13.6 degrees Celsius.

As the weather weaves its unpredictable tapestry, residents are advised to stay prepared for varying conditions—embracing the warmth of layers in the morning and being ready for the possibility of a gentle rain dance by nightfall.
