The upcoming launch has already been officially announced by Tata Motors, sparking excitement among automobile enthusiasts. It's been revealed that the Nexon CNG variant is set to hit the market soon. Reports suggest that this car will make its debut at the January Mobility Show in India, with testing already underway. It seems that the wait for potential buyers won't be long now.
The Tata Nexon, a popular choice among SUV enthusiasts in India, is already available in petrol, diesel, and electric variants. Now, the CNG version will join the lineup, boasting advanced CNG technology and a proficient engine. Prospective buyers will have yet another option in their hands in the coming days.
This car is expected to come loaded with smart features, including a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, premium speakers, automatic climate control, and more. Additionally, it will be equipped with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a factory-fitted CNG cylinder. In petrol mode, it will produce up to 118 brake horsepower and 170 Nm of torque, while in CNG mode, it will generate 100 brake horsepower and 150 Nm of torque, accompanied by an automatic gearbox.
Safety has always been a priority for Tata Motors, and the Nexon CNG will be no exception. It will feature six airbags, an anti-lock braking system, a tyre pressure monitoring system, cruise control, and various other safety mechanisms.
However, information regarding the mileage of this car is still unavailable. Nonetheless, it is anticipated that the CNG variant may offer better mileage compared to the petrol version.
Tata Motors has been steadily introducing CNG variants across its lineup, and the Nexon is just the latest addition. However, it's not just Tata, as competitors like Maruti Suzuki and Toyota are also gearing up to offer CNG options in their models. With the increasing demand for CNG vehicles, the Nexon CNG might just be the answer for city commuters looking for a safer and more economical ride.
As for the price, Tata Motors has yet to disclose the official figures. However, based on the current pricing of the Nexon ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) variants in the Indian market, it is speculated that the Nexon CNG could start at around 9 lakh rupees.
With its slated launch in the upcoming year, the Nexon CNG is poised to capture the interest of Indian consumers who are seeking an eco-friendly and pocket-friendly SUV option.
