Spring Breeze Sweeps Across Bengal! Chance Of Rain In South Bengal This Week

As the season of blossoms, spring, makes its grand entrance, West Bengal welcomes the warmth with open arms. Despite the occasional showers, the weather remains delightful across the region.

However, the weather office warns of possible showers in South Bengal in the coming week. The Alipore Weather Office indicates that rain is likely in all districts, although the temperatures may rise slightly despite the rain.

It's been reported that dry weather is expected in most districts until next Wednesday. However, from Thursday onwards, thunderstorms accompanied by rain are forecast, which may persist until Friday.

The weather bureau further suggests that there might be a change in weather patterns again starting Saturday. While rainfall is anticipated across all districts of South Bengal, dry weather is expected to prevail in North Bengal.

In some areas of Bankura, East, and West Bardhaman districts, there's a slight to moderate chance of thunderstorms with electricity. Additionally, adjacent to Kolkata, as well as in Hugli and other districts of South Bengal, there's a possibility of light to moderate rain on Thursday and Friday.

Observations indicate that the sky has been predominantly clear since this morning. The minimum temperature in Kolkata city is recorded at 18.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees lower than normal. The maximum temperature could reach up to 31 degrees Celsius today, as per the weather office.

Yesterday, Sunday, the maximum temperature in the city was 31.7 degrees Celsius, one degree lower than normal.

Looking ahead, there's no chance of rainfall in the city over the next 24 hours. Kolkata has experienced below-normal minimum temperatures for several consecutive days. However, the Alipore Weather Office suggests that temperatures in the state will begin to rise from Tuesday onwards, with a possibility of a three- to four-degree Celsius increase by the middle of the coming week.
