Slight Rise In Temperature In West Bengal Till 10 January

Starting today, temperatures are set to rise in West Bengal! Next week, again, there is a signal of the return of winter. The mercury is expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next 3–4 days, with the cold spell intensifying from January 10 onwards.

In the coming week, Southern Bengal may experience light rainfall, particularly in the western and southeastern districts. Meanwhile, the northern regions, including Darjeeling and Kalimpong, could witness heavy rainfall and snowfall. Sikkim has already been experiencing precipitation, which is affecting the weather in Darjeeling.

In the city of Kolkata, nighttime temperatures are on the rise, and this trend is expected to continue throughout the week. Nighttime temperatures may reach 18 degrees Celsius, providing relief from the usual chill.

While mornings in Kolkata may start with light to moderate fog and mist, the skies are expected to clear as the day progresses. Rainfall is unlikely in the city, maintaining a dry and crisp atmosphere. Kolkata is anticipated to experience a moderate temperature range of 15 to 25 degrees Celsius over the next 24 hours.

This shift in weather comes as Kolkata recorded a minimum temperature of 15.3 degrees Celsius today, slightly higher than the average. The humidity levels, ranging from 47% to 93%, indicate a moderately humid environment. As we head into the next 24 hours, Kolkata can expect temperatures to fluctuate between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.

As the city prepares itself for a milder winter, residents can expect a week of changing weather patterns, from cool nights to pleasant daytime temperatures.
