Singer Srikanta Acharya will be spotted acting in director Suman Ghoshs Kadambari

It is well known to all that Srikanta Acharya has won several hearts with his melodious voice. Currently, he is ready to debut on the silver screen.

The renowned singer will be spotted acting in director Suman Ghosh's Kadambari, which stars Konkona Sen Sharma and Parambrata Chatterjee too in the lead role.

The director confirmed the news admitting that Srikanta will be acting in his film. In fact, he had a tough time convincing him. He will essay the character of Satyendranath Tagore. He thought that the singer looked perfect for the role of an noble character, who was also the first Indian to join the Indian Civil Services. Moreover, the film will hit the floors from October.

Truly Srikanta is nervous, but simultaneously he is excited to be a part of the venture. He expressed that he loves acting and have acted with some well known actors previously. However, he never thought of acting in films because it demands a lot of dedication as well as time and he has to concentrate on singing. In fact, it was Suman who first communicated Bickram Ghosh that he wanted him to be a part of his film. Although he was not interested, Suman insisted that he should meet him and hear the story once. Finally, he agreed to it. He found that Suman is a sensible director and realized the story had potential. So, he gave his consent. Anyway, his character is not too lengthy, but it is crucial in the film's storyline.
