Search committee to appoint the vice-chancellor of Alipurduar University

After the publication of Gazette notification, the State Government officials formed a search committee to appoint the vice-chancellor of the proposed Alipurduar University. Meanwhile, representatives of Alipurduar College Management Committee came to Kolkata and submitted a detailed report on the infrastructure of Alipurduar College to the Education Minister Partha Chatterjee. The chairman of Alipurduar College Management Committee and  Alipurduar MLA Sourav Chakraborty on Saturday stated that a search committee has been formed to appoint the vice-chancellor of Alipurduar University and the Education Minister Partha Chatterjee has told them about the formation of the committee. The committee has submitted a list of Vice Chancellors to the Governor of West Bengal and the Governor will appoint the vice-chancellor of Alipurduar University. After the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor the office will be opened and the admission process will begin in June-July. The normal classes will resume after that. The teachers and the students are eagerly waiting for that day.
