If you are in love with the hills and want to experience the cosmic feel, then it is nothing like Samsing. It is a very stunning tourist spot in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. The elevation of the place is nearly about 3000 feet along the borders of Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri district. If you are in love with peace and serenity, it is best to choose Samsing. You can visit Samsing at any point of the year but winters are best option to get the real feel of the weather.

How to reach: It is best to avail North Bengal bound train from Howrah/sealdah. Samsing is about 85 kms from Siliguri. You can also opt for flight and get down at Bagdogra. From there you have to hire taxi, car to reach Samsing.

Where to stay: There are a number of hotels and high profile lodges in Samsing area but that can be at a distance from the actual location. But mostly the homestays are widely available in Samsing because it is actually a village. Foods over there are quite healthy as all of them are home made. Various types of fruits and vegetables are available over there. Both veg and non-veg foot items are available in Samsing.

Attractions: There are many places to visit in Samsing. Neora Valley National Park is one the most noted place where people of any age enjoy their fullest. There are many flower gardens that gave the place a new meaning altogether. You can also visit Jelepla pass and Bhutan hills. Tree Fern Point and Mo Chaki are the other prominent places to visit in Samsing. Moreover tourists can also visit Malbazar, Meteli and Chalsa if they have good time. Tea gardens are of high importance in Samsing.
