Ramadan Month Commences on March 12! Know More About Sehri and Iftar Timings

Today marks the awaited auspicious moment: March 12, 2024, the commencement of the first Eid of the year, Eid-ul-Fitr. As per lunar calculations, it is anticipated to be celebrated on the 9th or 10th of April this year. However, before this day arrives, there is the advent of Ramadan, a month-long period of fasting and spiritual purification. The crescent moon of Ramadan has been sighted in the skies of India as well.

The crescent moon of Ramadan was sighted in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, March 10, and in the country, it was sighted yesterday, Monday, March 11. Therefore, starting today, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the fasting period has begun. Typically, the sighting of the moon in Saudi Arabia is considered the declaration of Ramadan in Asian countries the following day. Hence, the anticipation was palpable.
