Rabindra Utsav In Jorashako Is All To Witness In Bengal

Kolkata has been successfully holding on to its heritage and prestige since time immemorial, and now it is inclined on revisiting the life of the Noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore. The Rabindra Festival is to be held on the 27th of January 2018 at his ancestral abode in Jorashakho.

The much awaited festival is to be unveiled by the Hon’ble Education Minister Partha Chatterjee on the same day. Sabyasachi Basu Ray Chowdhury, the vice-chancellor of the Rabindra Bharati University said that this is a much awaited program which is an outcome of a long term plan.

Furthermore, the program shall portray the history of the Tagore family and highlight the main members of the family and their contribution to the Bengal Renaissance and Freedom movement. The students of the Rabindra Bharati University are planning to unveil a surprise event for the occasion. Eminent stalwarts of their respective fields such as Soumitra Chatterjee and Ustad Rashid Khan are contributing their time towards the event.

Passes for the event is available for as cheap as Rs.50, so that most people get a chance to attend the show and know more about Rabindranath Tagore and his families contribution to the city’s heritage. So, don’t miss the chance to bear witness to the event on the 27th from 6.30-7pm.
