One of a kind initiative for unique people

The one-of-its-kind initiative has been taken for the ‘one-of-a-kind’ people.

A world-class autism township by The India Autism Centre (IAC), a project which was announced during the Bengal  Global Business Summit (BGBS) in January 2018, is now initiated by a joint effort between a private firm and the West Bengal government. The project deals with those children and adults who are suffering from developmental disorder, they would receiving training, treatment and boarding facilities here.

It is expected the township will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 500 crore. Amit Mitra, state Finance Minister, had appreciated the initiative and promised all support, during the BGBS meet in January. With housing facilities for 350 residents and the day-care center for more than 200 children, adolescents and adults, the center will be unmatched in India or anywhere in the world.

The project includes providing training for teachers, who will deal with the autistic people and international tie-ups are desired to be distinct from any other centers of the nation.
