New flyover between Quest and Gariahat

The urban development department of the state government has approved the plan for construction of a flyover between Quest Mall and The BSS School, near Gariahat after reviewing the transport infrastructure. The committee, which reviewed the transportation network of this route also proposed a ramp for the flyover towards Gurusaday Road. After the final approval of the urban development authority, the Calcutta Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) will execute the project. CMDA will start with floating a tender to hire consultants for a project report of the flyover. This detailed project report is very crucial as it will be mentioning the estimated project cost. A member of the infrastructure sub-committee of the Urban Development Department said, “We have approved the flyover proposal and informed the CMDA about our decision. We have also suggested that a ramp be built to connect the flyover with Gurusaday Road”.
