Murshidabad’s Rukaiya Secured 27th Rank In WBCS By Paying Tuition To Pay For Her Studies!

Rukaiya Sultana of Daulatabad in Murshidabad district has fulfilled her cherished childhood dream of becoming a public servant. She qualified as a WBCS officer on Friday, securing the 27th rank. She has secured the 27th rank and successfully completed all three steps—the preliminary, main, and interview.

In the West Bengal civil service exam, she got the 27th rank out of 84 on the merit list. She came from a very poor family. Her father, Ruhul Hossain, is a farmer, and her mother, Arjuma Khatun, is an assistant teacher. Rukaiya never wanted to burden her parents. So, she used to teach tuition to continue her education in a poor family. Rukaiya's success made her family proud. The whole village is proud of Rukaiya's success.

Rukaiya is a resident of Ruhia village in the Daulatabad district of Murshidabad. She has been talented since childhood. Since Class V, an independent-minded Sultana has been going to Kashiswari Girls’ High School in Behrampore all by herself. In both her Madhyamik and higher secondary tests, Sultana secured 85 percent marks. Later, she enrolled herself at the Krishnanath College in Behrampore for a BSc in chemistry and completed her post-graduate degree from Kalyani University in Nadia. Rukaia saw the face of success by using her strength of mind and indomitable will.

Rukaiya said to the media, "I want to become a high-ranking official and work for the people in the future. Continuous hard work will lead to WBCS success. I have also succeeded; those who try will surely succeed. So, if you have your own urge and strong willpower, along with proper daily study, success will come." She also said her next target will be to clear the UPSC exams. She said, "I’m not stopping now."

Daulatabad Police Station's OC, Debashish Ghosh, congratulated Rukaiya Sultana by giving her a bouquet of flowers. All the residents of the Daulatabad police station area showered her with greetings.

Rukaiya's father, Ruhul Hossain, said, "I could never admit my daughter to fancy institutions, nor am I educated enough to help her. She studied at a government school, and whatever she has achieved is hers alone. I am very happy."
