This Women’s History Month, the famous Johnnie walker- Black Level whisky just got feminine. The famous brand is rolling out 250,000 limited female editions of the whisky for the very first time in 200 years!
Meet Jane Walker- a lady with class who is being featured in a limited edition of black-label whisky, in an attempt to highlight the achievement of women associated to the world’s best selling whisky. The famous brand will also be donating $ 250,000 from the proceeds of the sales to women’s rights organizations.
The limited edition of the blended whisky features a walking hatted-woman on the Label, rather than the traditional walking Johnnie. Diageo the brand owner is hoping this bold move will widen the appeal of the product celebrating woman all over the world and Jane is expected to be symbol for the brands commitment to progress over the years. The special edition of Black Label with the walking woman has already hit the shelves.
“Scotch as a category is seen as particularly intimidating by women,” said Stephanie Jacoby, vice president of Johnnie Walker. “It’s a really exciting opportunity to invite women into the brand.”
