Leaving Every Good Job, 23-Year-Old Soham’s Dream Is Going To Be Successful

Jhargram's Soham has always wanted to work in a scientific research field since childhood. His aim was to do various research-related tasks. Finally, his dream of becoming a scientist is going to be successful. 23-year-old Soham Mahapatra of Jhargram district is going to join the work as a trainee scientific officer under the supervision of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai. On hearing this news, Soham's whole family is happy with his success.

In 2017, through a joint entrance examination, he got admission to the Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology in Beleghata, in the Computer Science and Technology department, and passed BTech in 2021. After passing, he joined a private job with an annual salary of Rs. 12 lakh in Noida in June. During his office career, he also received the 'Best Employee Award.'

But Soham didn't like the job and left it at the end of 2022. After that, he started preparing for the GATE exam. He returned to Jhargram and studied for only ten months without any tutor. Then he passed the GATE exam with the best marks. He got admission to one of the best IITs in the country. But after getting admission to IIT Patna, Soham came to know that the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai was issuing a recruitment notice. After that, he applied and got a job.

Soham grew up like his other friends. He studied till class four at a private medium school in Jhargram, then passed higher secondary at Kumudkumari Institution in 2015. After that, he never looked back. Despite getting many good jobs, his aim was to do research work. Finally, his childhood dream has come true. Soham's entire family has supported his desire to become a scientist since childhood. Even every Jhargram resident was happy with Soham's success.

In a media interview, Soham said, "In the private sector, very fast delivery had to be given. There was no time to think. I wanted to do something where I would have a chance to think. After I left the job, many people thought I was fired. But my goal was to do research. That's why I thought there couldn't be a better option than Gate. Meanwhile, I had a chance to think. I was identified by the test."
