Is It True That Mithun Chakraborty Suffers From Stroke On The Film Set? Know In Detail

A sudden wave of concern rippled through Tollywood on Saturday morning as news broke that veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty had fallen ill unexpectedly. Social media platforms buzzed with rumours, but what exactly occurred?

Sources reveal that Mithun experienced discomfort on the film set, where he reportedly suffered a stroke. Promptly, he was rushed to a private hospital in Kolkata and received initial medical attention, including an MRI scan.

Actor Soham Chakraborty has been pivotal in the production of "Shastri." On Saturday, amidst the shooting mishap, he wasted no time in ensuring Mithun's swift transfer to the hospital. However, recent reports suggest that the incident may have been blown out of proportion. Mithun's daughter-in-law, Madalsa Sharma, dismissed the exaggerated claims, stating, "Discomfort—that's all it was. He was taken to the hospital for routine check-ups."

Nevertheless, Mithun remains hospitalised for observation. Sources indicate that he is stable and responding well to treatment.

Last year, Mithun's film "Kabuliwala" garnered widespread acclaim. Now, all eyes are on "Shastri," featuring a stellar cast including Sauraseni Maitra, Saswata Chatterjee, Rajatava Dutta, Anirban Chakraborty, Kaushik Sen, Kanchan Mullick, and Ambarish Bhattacharya. Soham himself takes on a significant role in the film.

Prior to the shooting, Soham emphasised the importance of casting the best talent for the project, underscoring his commitment to quality in the industry.

"Shastri," inspired by a story by Debabrata Mukherjee, promises to blend astrology and science, aiming for a release during the upcoming Puja season, directed by Pathikrit Basu and produced by Soham Chakraborty.
