When Gods manifests in form of humans they are known as doctors. Those who fight with disease, decay, pain they are the ones to bring people back to life. One such name in the Indian medical world is Dr. Kaushik Lahiri, a dermatologist. Physician Dr. Kaushik Lahiri was honored with the 'Inspiring Dermatologist Award of India' on behalf of the Economic Times on July 1, the National Medical Day.
Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi handed over the award to him. He has a long 33 years of medical life. 26 years as a dermatologist.
He is currently a physician and professor in the Department of Dermatology at Apollo Multispeciality Hospital. Presently he is the Director of the International Society of Dermatology, the Emeritus Editor of the Indian Journal of Dermatology. Once he was the editor of this journal and the President of the Association of Cutaneous Surgeons of India.
He is a prominent name in the field of international medicine as well as in the country. He is a Fellow of three Royal Colleges in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London. He is also a member of many international organizations. This special award has been handed over to him for his contribution in the field of medicine.
