Sourav's wife, Dona Ganguly, is set to shine in a new light. Stepping into uncharted territory, she will grace the stage as a male character for the first time. Donna, along with the students of her dance academy, is gearing up to perform a play by Rabindranath Tagore titled 'Tasher Ghawr' (The House of Cards).

Scheduled for January 21st and 22nd at Kolkata's G.D. Birla Sabhagar and Rabindrasadan, the performance is a collaborative effort between Dikshamanjuri and Dakshinayana UK.

The play 'Tasher Ghawr' will witness Dona in the role of a prince, marking a significant departure from her previous roles. Adding to the anticipation, Raghunath Das will portray the role of a saudagar in this theatrical endeavour.

Anand Gupta will be directing the music, while choreography responsibilities fall under the capable hands of Dona. The narrative unfolds in 'Tasher Ghawr,' where Donna's portrayal as a Rajput prince promises to captivate audiences with a unique flair, showcasing her versatility as an artist.

The performances on the first day will take place at G.D. Birla Sabhagar, dedicated to celebrating 75 years of Rabindra Sangeet education in South Kolkata. On the second day, 'Tasher Ghawr' will be staged at Rabindra Sadan, presented by Dakshinayana UK in collaboration with the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

Dona expresses her excitement, revealing that this is her first time taking on a male character on stage. The entire team is putting in tremendous effort to make this performance a grand success, promising a theatrical experience that transcends boundaries.

Anand Gupta shares his enthusiasm for the collaboration, anticipating a larger ensemble and expressing hope that the audience will thoroughly enjoy the musical and theatrical presentation.

Before 'Tasher Ghawr,' the joint effort of Dikshamanjari and Dakshinayana UK, featuring Rabindranath's 'Mayar Khela' and 'Praner Chetonaar Gaan,' had already mesmerised the audience, setting the stage for the upcoming spectacular performance.
