Indira, will it be a Film or a movie series that is still unknown. The acclaimed actress will portray the former Prime Minster on Big screen based on Journalist-Author Sagarika Ghose's book on “Indira: India’s Most Powerful Prime Minister”.
Speaking about playing on-screen Indira Gandhi, Vidya said “I am thrilled to play Indira Gandhi on screen. I have always aspired to play her on-screen, now that I have acquired the adaptation from Sagarika's Indira I want to do justice to the role.” The portrayal will depict few long lingering issues about her bad marriage, her love affair with different religious politics. “Most excited to see 'Indira' on screen”, stated Ghosh. The Film talks about woman Empowerment and the struggle she faced in her lifetime.
