Director Nirmal Chakraborty Ventures Towards the Second Film After 'Datta', Actress Rituparna Is Confirmed

Director Nirmal Chakraborty, who previously helmed the successful adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's 'Datta,' is now setting his sights on a second cinematic venture. The film 'Datta' enjoyed remarkable success on the big screen, running for 100 days in theatres, and is now available for streaming on the Hoichoi web platform.

In a recent interview on Thursday, Nirmal Chakraborty revealed his aspirations for the upcoming project. He expressed his intention to collaborate with the literary world once again, highlighting the significance of this venture in Bengali cinema. The details of the upcoming film are still under wraps, but it is clear that Nirmal Chakraborty is keen to bring something unique to the audience.

Regarding the cast, Rituparna Sengupta, the accomplished actress, has already agreed to take on a pivotal role. Nirmal Chakraborty's enthusiasm for her involvement in the project is evident. In addition, the director has expressed his desire to work with Saswata Chatterjee, hoping to reunite this talented duo, who previously collaborated on 'Datta.'

As for the shooting schedule, Nirmal Chakraborty mentioned that the production team is eager to begin shooting this year. However, he also revealed that Rituparna Sengupta has a busy schedule at the moment, and the script for the film has not been finalized. Nevertheless, he remains committed to delivering another remarkable cinematic experience in Bengali cinema.
