Death anniversary of Sri Pushkar Lal Kedia

Senior Marwari Community leader Sri Pushkar Lal Kedia passed away last year on 29th April 2017. A prayer meeting in his remembrance was arranged on Sunday at the Manishika Sabhagar. Pushkarlal Kedia was a social activist for decades. He was associated with many projects like Agrasen Balika Siksha Sadan, Shree Agrasen College at Liluah, Visudhanand hospital, Matrimangal hospital, Manishika and many more. His last and most important venture Maharaja Agrasen Dham in Kolkata; was his dream project as he wanted this fifth dham for the Agarwal community.

Many respected members of the Marwari community were present at the event including the Chairman of the Onkar Group, Prahlad Roy Goenka, Hon’ble MLA Sudip Bandhopadhay, ARC transport’s Director Mr B.L. Sharma and Mr Basudeo Tikmany (Head of the Liluah Agrasain School). Their religious teacher Sri Bal Vyas Srikant Sharma was present at the eulogy ceremony and while praising Sri Pushkar Lal Kedia for his contribution to the society, he further elaborated on the works he did for the welfare of common people. People shared their experiences on Sri Pushkar Lalji, while the girl scouts performed a song in his memory.

MLA Sudip Bandhopadhyay said that he had good relations with Pushkar Lal Kedia, and how he took advice from him regarding matters about the Agrasain Dham and how Sudip always took his blessings before any election. Everybody present at the event was mourning the loss of the gem of a person.
