'Nasek Nasek, which famous musician Animesh Roy sang for the first time in Indian cinema,talked about his journey.
Animesh Roy is the new star in the Bangladeshi music industry. His song 'Nasek Nasek' gained huge popularity. Now he sang for a movie in Kolkata.
He is the son of Bagachra village in Bangladesh. It is just a few kilometres away from the India-Bangladesh border. Since his childhood, he has loved to learn music. Now, the audience is enjoying his voice. The video of his song 'Nasek Nasek' 'Nahubo, has already crossed lakhs of views.
He had to go through many struggles at the beginning of his musical journey. This is the first time Animesh has sung in Kolkata's film. He belongs to the Hajong community in Bangladesh. They speak the Hajong language with their parents at home. The singer struggles a lot to establish this language song in society. Animesh recently played a playback for a movie in Kolkata.
Director Anirban Chakraborty is making a new film, named 'O Abhagi' . This film is the literary adaptation of the story 'Abhagir Swarg' by Saratchandra Chattopadhyay. Rafiyat Rashid Mithila is playing the lead role. Animesh has sung the title track in this film. Moushumi Chatterjee is in charge of music direction.
The singer said, "I'm really happy. Moushumi Didi has trusted me so much. Arnavda gave me my first chance at Coke Studio. Before that, during the lockdown, I started making my own songs on my YouTube channel and Facebook. My love for this song comes from my family." Apart from his mother, he has two brothers and a sister at home. He used to sing in the Hajong language.
But due to the pressure from the family, he did not move forward with music. Animesh said, "So all the responsibilities are now on my shoulders. I have to fulfil the dreams of the family. My studies are also about folk songs. I just finished my master's degree."
