Change for the Better; Practice Mindfulness

“The mind is everything. What you think you become”- Gautam Buddha. Human mind is powerful and powerful thoughts will make you a strong and positive person. Our mind has countless thoughts which can be categorized as negative thoughts, positive thoughts, and wasteful thoughts. Unwanted thoughts distract us in our daily work and stop us from focusing on the present moment.

A simple trick can help you to focus on the present and let you achieve your goals. Few minutes of mindfulness meditation is all you need. Meditation is the only way which can change and train your mind. Effective way of meditating is mindful breathing or conscious breathing.

Effort never dies, and daily practice can do wonders. Here are few ways of practicing mindfulness.

1. Focus on breathing and let go off all your thoughts without judging them. Pay attention to your breathing. And slowly, you notice the change, because “what you practice grows stronger”.

2. Awareness; Feel yourself, be conscious where you sit and pay kind devotion. Pay courtesy to your attention, while doing this the mind will wander but be calm, relax and focus.

3. You can try repeating a mantra or any positive affirmation; I am the best, I am a confident person or anything, which you think will be most helpful for you.

4. Slow but steady wins the race. In today’s world, we want everything to be rapid. We have developed such mentality. But while you practice mindful meditation, you have to slow it down.

5. Sitting in a comfortable position and listening to one of a guided meditation can also help you to do mindfulness meditation.

6. Be mindful while traveling, notice and follow the sounds, the surroundings or count the steps while you walk.
