Bite the height

Have you heard of Hawaii Island? Calculating the base of this island from under sea level there is a gigantic mountain, which is, in fact, 33,300 feet high. This suggests that this is 4,300 meters higher than that of Mt. Everest.

Mt Everest has reached the height of popularity and our geography books suggest that it is the highest mountain range in the world. But somehow this particular island is giving tough competition to Everest.

The height of any mountain is measured from its source i.e., under the sea level. Mauna Kea of Hawaii Island in the US is giving a hard competition to Mt. Everest. Calculations may differ as it is done on an average basis but researchers have already put forward their expert opinions.
