The much-awaited 'Khaki 2' series, directed by Neeraj Pandey and titled 'Khaki: Bengal Chapter,' is generating a buzz on social media.
In its upcoming season, the series will feature Tollywood stars. They are Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, and Parambrata Chatterjee.
The addition of a Tollywood star to the group cast increases the excitement. Actress Chitrangada Satarupa. Daughter of director Satarupa Sanyal and sister of actress Ritabhari Chakraborty.
Chitrangada has made her mark in both Bengali and Hindi cinemas. She worked in 'Shantilal O Projapoti Rohoshyo', 'Ahare Mon,' and many more Bengali movies. On the other hand, she worked on Hindi films like 'Devi Aur Hero', 'Sakharam B.', and many more. She has also appeared in Hindi TV series like 'Chokher Bali.' Now, she gears up for her role in the upcoming season of the 'Khaki' series. But it has not been officially declared.
Sources reveal that the shooting will be in Kolkata. But it will kick off after the 2024 Lok Sabha election is complete. Locations like the Lalbazar area and other parts of central and north Kolkata are chosen for shooting.
Rumours say that besides Prosenjit, Jeet, and Parambrata, the series might include Saswata Chatterjee.
In 2022, the first season of "Khaki," titled "Khaki: The Bihar Chapter," was released on Netflix with stars like Abhimanyu Singh, Avinash Tiwary, and Karan Tacker. Since then, fans' excitement for the second season has grown, keeping director Neeraj Pandey busy with Khaki 2 preparations.
