CBSE Declares Classes 10 And 12 Results, How Good Did The Students Perform In Kolkata?

In accordance with national education policies, the CBSE Board introduced some changes in the question papers for the Class X and XII exams in 2024. However, despite the shift in exam patterns, no significant discrepancies were observed among the students. They displayed excellent preparation throughout the exams, a fact that the results now validate.

On May 13th, the CBSE 2024 exam results were declared, revealing commendable performances by students across Kolkata. Not only did they excel in academics, but many also pursued extracurricular interests such as music or photography alongside their studies.

A notable example is Sabyasachi Laskar from B.D. Memorial International School, who secured a perfect score of 500 in the Class X exams. His impeccable performance in subjects like Bengali, English, mathematics, science, and artificial intelligence showcases his dedication and hard work. Sabyasachi attributes his success to self-study, with no assistance from tutors, and acknowledges the invaluable support of his school teachers.

Similarly, Banshika Kothari from Lakshmipat Singhania School achieved 496 marks in the Class XII exams. With aspirations of becoming a journalist since childhood, Banshika has already had her essays published in two English newspapers during her school years.

Another standout performer is Vittachar Bhattacharya from G.D. Goenka Public School, who scored 494 marks in the Class XII exams. Despite aiming for a career in the visual arts, Vittachar aims to pursue higher education at an art college and eventually explore opportunities in advertising agencies or related fields.

Afrin Munshi from South Point School secured 490 marks in the Class XII exams. She aims to study computer engineering at a prestigious institute in Delhi or Mumbai through the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced. She emphasises the importance of balanced study across all subjects to avoid misconceptions.

Sagarika Singh from DPS Ruby Park achieved 494 marks in the CBSE Class XII exams. A devout fan of J.K. Rowling, Sagarika aspires to pursue computer science at an IIT in Delhi or Mumbai. Her meticulous preparation has placed her ahead in both board exams and her Joint Entrance Examination Advanced preparation.

Furthermore, several other schools in Kolkata witnessed commendable performances. Neha Modi from Shri Shikshayatan School scored 99% in Class X, while Rajashree Ray secured 98.8%.

These exemplary performances not only reflect the dedication and hard work of students but also underscore the quality of education imparted by schools in Kolkata.
