The tale of Dada Boudi Biriyani!

Biriyani means the world to the foodie Bengalis. A foodie in Bengal can never live without having the tasty Bengali version of Biryani which has potato and egg apart from the meat and the rice. The origin of Biriyani can be traced back to the times of the Nawab of Awadh and originating in North India. Contrary to the Biriyani served in north Indian resturants or take-aways, the biriyani served in Bengal is a bit different in terms of taste and because it has aloo (potato) in it! And when it comes to Biriyani in Bengal, one name definitely pops up – and that’s 'Dada Boudi's Biryani'. Located in Barrackpore, a bit far from Kolkata, this popular biryani joint is famous all over Bengal for its taste. The signature biriyani of 'Dada Boudi’ is even known in places out of Bengal due to its one-of-its-kind taste. The craze that is involved with 'Dada Boudi's Biryani' is unimaginable. Recently Jiyo Bangla interacted with Mr. Sanjib Saha, the owner of 'Dada Boudi's Biriyani’ Shop who told the story of Dada Boudi and it being famous all across Bengal and other states of India.
