Kolkata is full of Chinese restaurants and food stalls serving people their favourite dishes. One of most popular Chinese restaurants in the city is 'Shanghai Restaurant' which serves authentic Chinese dishes such as Laksa Kai, BBQ Pork Ribs and Golden Fried Prawns among other dishes.
Umesh Chhetri, the General Manager of 'Shanghai Restaurant' recently interacted with Jiyo Bangla and shared the origin of the restaurant and the dishes that it serves. Mr. Chhetri said, “I have been associated with this profession for about 25 years. And this restaurant serves popular Chinese dishes like Laksa Kai, BBQ Pork Ribs and Golden Fried Prawns. Currently, Shanghai Restaurant has a total of six outlets - Nagerbazar, Salt Lake, Baghajatin, Sodepur, Serampore and Behala. In future we will open outlets in other parts of the state as well".
