'Akash Ongshoto Meghla' releasing soon

Director Joydeep Mukherjee’s film 'Akash Ongshoto Meghla' is based on two short stories of Shopnomoy Chakraborty – 'Patakar Kapar' and 'Merudondo'. The main plot of the movie revolves around the daily lives of the workers and the strain of their livelihood. The trailer and the music of the movie were recently launched in presence of the director and the crew.

The protagonist of the movie happens to be a man named Rasomoy Bagchi who is a member of the trade union and also a worker of a factory. But out of a sudden the land where the factory is situated gets sold and eventually the factory shuts shop. Naturally, protest movements were carried out demanding the re-opening of the factory and Rasomoy Bagchi was a part of it. However, the movement ends up unsuccessful and the factory doesn’t resume its operation and Rasomoy was forced to choose another profession. On the other hand, there’s another character of Anirban Sarkar in the film who happens to be a meritorious student but has to leave academics in order to earn the bread for his family. A point comes in the film where two of these characters – Rasomoy and Anirban meet and their lives take a turn since then. In order to figure out what changes take place in their lives, one has to watch the film 'Akash Ongshoto Meghla'.

Rudranil Ghosh and Rahul Bandopadhyay are seen in the lead roles in the film with Basavadatta Chattopadhyay, Damini Beni Basu, Ankita Chakraborty, Devdut Ghosh and others playing important roles. The music of the film is directed by Upali Chatterjee. The film is produced by 'Idea Frames Production'. 'Akash Ongshoto Meghla' is scheduled to release this year on the big screen.
