Actor Subrata Datta shares his story on Jiyo Bangla!

Actor Subrata Datta, the National School of Drama alumni has aced every genre with his outstanding acting skills. Subrata Dutta hails from the Bankura Distict of West Bengal and comes from a non-filmy background. After completing his Master’s degree from National School of Drama, he started his acting career as a theatre artist and played the lead role in no less than 35 Plays before stepping into films. He made his silver screen debut with the Hindi film Karvaan in 1999 where he was the main protagonist. His first Bengali film was Uttara by Buddhadev Dasgupta. He has worked for many television series too, like famous Bengali tele-series ‘Shudhu Tomari Jonyo’. Some of his notable films include Zameen, Mangal Pandey, Toman Jonyo, Talaash, Tevar, Sameer, The Shaukeens, Rakhcharitra, Bhootnath Returns and Dotara among others. Recently Dutta interacted with Jiyo Bangla on its show ‘Adda with Apsara’ and shared the story of his journey and career.
