Jiyo Bangla serves as Tumi Ananya 2023’s digital partner!

The 18th edition of the ‘Tumi Ananya 2023’ awards ceremony was recently held at the Park Hotel in Kolkata, organized by Beyond Dreams in collaboration with Lions Club District 322B2. The Ananya Samman recognizes the achievements of outstanding women in various fields, including education and film. Jiyo Bangla proudly served as the event's digital partner!

The eminent dancer Alokananda Roy was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her community service. In her acceptance speech, she emphasized that receiving this award did not mean she would stop working. She pledged to continue working for as long as he was able, as social work is an integral part of her life. Mamata Shankar was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her lifelong contribution to Indian dance. In her excitement, she acknowledged that the award was not just a personal recognition but also reflected the contributions of those who supported and encouraged her.

Actress Swastika Mukherjee received the award for her contribution to Indian cinema. She acknowledged that recognition from her home, family, and those around her provided inspiration for her work. Esha Saha was recognized as the best emerging actress of this generation. Nusrat Jahan was awarded for her contribution to Bengali cinema, and Lognajita Mukherjee for her contribution to the field of music. Swastika Mukhopadhyay and Nusrat Jahan were recognized for their portrayal of housewives who work hard outside the home to take care of their loved ones but often remained invisible.

The event was graced by the presence of noted food critique Indrajit Lahiri, also known as 'Foodka'.
