ZABIVAKA SAYS HI!

With the European league drawing to an end, football fans are gearing up for the spectacular tournament that won’t be coming up in the next four years again. This June, Zabivaka, the official mascot for FIFA World cup 2018, a confident creature is going to make the players and fans feel at home in Russia.

The football World Cup 2018 promises to be a delight with 24 top teams that went through a grueling qualifying stage, all set to showcase their flair for the sport. Football enthusiasts and critics are already debating about the quirky yet very significant pointers in this year’s tournament.

The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) will be making its debut this year. It uses video footages and audio headsets for confirming and rectifying the head referee’s decisions. Although, it will be reducing quite a number of faulty decisions, critics are of the view that it’s too messy to be used this soon.

Concerns have also been raised on the most expensive player of the world, Neymar, a crucial player in the Brazilian side, pertaining to his injuries. All time favourites, Argentina and France are yet to come up with a decent and planned defence line up. Spain, now in the top charts, is shadowed by speculations on their lead, Alvaro Morata, who is not in a good form for the past few months.

This World Cup is going to be a gripping experiment, with new squads and advanced technology. It is going to be captivating to see how things unfurl.
