Workshops on NAAC accreditation to be organised

Accreditation is an important part of an education. An employer will have trouble in recognising an university without accreditation. The officials associated with the higher education department will be conducting workshops with colleges that have not yet received accreditation from the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC). 192 colleges have been invited to this workshop on November 27-29 at the Nano Technology Campus of Calcutta University. In three days, the colleges will be divided into two groups of workshops. According to reports, there are about 200 colleges in the state, who have not yet applied for NAAC’s assessment. But now the central government insists on the NAAC’s assessment and they are pressurizing all colleges to allow NAAC in the state.

Authorities of the Education Department think if all the colleges in the state are recognised then it will be good for the development of the colleges . The college authorities can focus on improving the infrastructure. The colleges have started preparing for  NAAC’s accreditation and the officials of education department are looking into this matter.
