West Bengal’s GDP is on the rise

In the 2018 edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit, India’s top industrialists and delegate from 32 countries gathered in Kolkata with their investment ideas for the city. The event was a huge success and business tycoon Mukesh Ambani reportedly saying, “West Bengal is becoming Best Bengal”. Ever since the Trinamool Government came into power, West Bengal’s economy has flourished. West Bengal has become the third-fastest growing big state in the country and the same has been driven by the agricultural sector. The current government has managed to reduce the share of debt in the gross state domestic product by 9% and as a result of it the economy has flourished at an unprecedented rate and it is expected that in the financial year of 2018-19 the GDP of West Bengal will rise by 15%.
