West Bengal Government to set up new power plant

The West Bengal Government has decided to set up a 10 megawatt (MW) solar power generation plant in Raniganj in West Burdwan district and this decision was made at the cabinet meeting on November 30,Friday. The solar power plant will be made on a plot of around 52 acres, this is the part of government's initiative in using the environment-friendly non-conventional forms of energy. The government has also decided to set up a 10MW solar power plant in West Midnapore district at Salboni on a plot of 41.11 acres land.
