West Bengal: Arsenic-free drinking water for local residents

Residents of Gaighata in North 24 Parganas can rejoice because the state government will provide arsenic-free drinking water. The project for clean drinking water has already been launched. People from different villages depend on this water project. Officials from the local Panchayat have taken this initiative for the local residents.Various arrangements have been made for the villagers. The villagers are often forced to consume arsenic contaminated water. All the people who depend on the water projects will get the benefits as the water is free of arsenic.A water project has been completed at Gutri Primary School ground in Ichapur district's Gram Panchayet area. Locals from the neighbouring villages are gathering over there.
