WB budget to be delivered on February 4

The West Bengal financial budget for the fiscal year 2019-20 is scheduled to be delivered on February 4, 2019. The budget will be delivered by the State Finance Minister Amit Mitra. The budget session of the State Legislative Assembly has commenced from Friday, February 1 with the Governor’s speech. The total expenditure of the state for the fiscal 2017-18 was Rs 1860 billion which is expected to rise to Rs 1958 billion, a steady rise of about 5.26 percent. The state’s GDP saw a growth of around 11.46 percent last year which too is expected to grow even more in the present year. The government in the previous years had rolled out various schemes for benefits of the common people and people are eager to see what changes are made in this year’s budget.
