Visva-Bharati Books to be available on Amazon

Rabindranath Tagore's university has decided to partner with Amazon which is one of the online stores of India. Visva-Bharati has already signed a contract for selling books on the American e-commerce website which was founded by Jeff Bezos. On August 28 Vice-chancellor Sabuj Kali Sen and other officials have come in an agreement with Amuse, a vendor. “We have decided to expand our network and for this reason we have decided to be a part of the online market. We are planning to increase our revenues. People love reading our books and inorder to maintain our image we have signed MoU with Amuse. This will fall into the third-party and will play an important role in selling our books on Amazon," as stated by Amrit Sen, officiating director of Granthana Vibhaga, Visva's publication department. Classics like Gitabitan (Book of Tagore's songs), Sanchayita (Book of Tagore's poems)Gitanjali (Song Offerings) and Golpo Guchchho (Bunch of Tagore's short stories) will soon be available on the e-commerce website. According to the source, the popular books of Visva-Bharati's publication house will be available very soon. Visva-Bharati is teaming up with Starmark in Calcutta and they are planning to open outlets in major cities like Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi," said Sabuj Kali Sen, the officiating VC.
