Training programme for “potential exporters”.

Potential entrepreneurs of Bengal need necessary professional training to export their products properly, Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) and textile department of West Bengal has ascertained that. Regarding the issue; The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) held a meeting on Monday where it is decided that IIFT will provide the training to amateur entrepreneurs.

A senior official of the state government started a series of initiative has already been taken to export MSME products, adding professional training to the same system will be beneficial for the “potential exporters” from every district where they can learn all the aspects of exporting their products to foreign countries.

The training which IIFT is going to provide has divided into few phases. Firstly, the officials need to identify the scope of exporting the MSME products of districts. Following that exporters from the districts will get the training by which they will get to know what steps they need to take to export their product.

According to an official "There could be a number of MSME products, rather than one, that could be exported from a district in future. But initially, we are giving stress on the export of the most famous or popular MSME product of a district and accordingly the training would be provided."
