They are ready to return!

Nine years ago director Srijit Mukherji created a difference between ‘Bhaat, Dal abong Briyani’. His thriller movie ‘Baishe Srabon’ which released on 2011 changed the way thrillers were showcased and perceived by the Bengali audience. Almost a decade later, the national award winning director is back with its spin-off ‘Dwitiyo Purush’. The much awaited thriller, produced by SVF is all set to release this Thursday (23rd January).  Ahead of its big release a live musical concert was held at City Centre 1 on 21st January sharp at 5:30 pm.

Apart from Anupam Roy, Rupam Islam and Iman Chakraborty, Raima Sen and Paramabrata Chatterjee were present at the musical concert. It seems the cast is ready to return. Apart from Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen who will stick to their characters. Anirban Bhattacharya, Rwitobroto Mukherjee and Gaurav Chakraborty are the new joiners in the Dwitiyo Purush cast. Undoubtedly the audience are psyched about the movie. On the other hand, the trailer starts with a voice of Prosenjit Chatterjee showing from the climax scene of Baishe Srabon. Immediately, the trailer brings us to the current scenario of Chinatown, where a policeman is monolog can heard about the murders which took place nine years back and someone is repeating the heinous crime in 2020.

Apart from this news, ‘Dwitiyo Purush’ has received an uncut U/A certificate from the censor board. Srijit Mukherji shared the good news on his social media handle.
