It’s cool, it’s healthy, and it’s a fruit that weight losers all over the world swear by.  Low in calories, carbohydrates, sodium, fat and cholesterol, it’s the darling of dieticians, who are forever prescribing it to their weight conscious clients. This juicy fruit is almost as effective a thrust quencher as water and now I’m sure, you all have guessed that the fruit I’m referring to is none other than the fruit of the creeping vine – cucumber.

Indians across the globe would be happy to know that this widely liked and beneficial fruit is actually a native of India. This cucumiform fruit comes in many shapes, sizes and types and is a repository of essential nutrients like Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, VitaminK, Manganese, Potassium and Copper.
