The chatpata flavour of ‘Mukherjee Dar Bou’

Over the last few years, we have seen a number of women-centric films that inspires women to rediscover their true selves. Speaking about Tollywood, several such films like ‘crisscross’, ‘Durga Sohay’, ‘Take One’, ‘Goynar Baksho’, ‘Tin Ekke Tin’, ‘Paromitar Ek Din’ and many more. These films try to rediscover women true selves, their true identity and now debutant director Pritha Chakraborty’s upcoming ‘Mukherjee Dar Bou’ bringing back the same concept with a different essence and flavour.

Director Chakraborty’s ‘Mukherjee dar Bou’ will surely encourage anyone to see the relationship between a woman and her mother-in-law from a whole new perspective. Bitter, sweet relationship between the daughter-in-law and Mother-in-law depicted in the right kind of manner. The film produced under the banner of Shiboprosas Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s ‘Window’ production.

 

The event was held in South City. The event was graced by actress Konineeca Banerjee, Anasua Mujumdar, Biswanath Basu. The audience will get to see Anasua as the mother-in-law, Rituparna to play the psychologist in the film. Speaking about Konineeca, she will play the role of Aditi (the daughter-in-law). Speaking with Jiyo Bangla, Konineeca said, “I am really glad that I opted out for this film. I guess anyone will relate this character with them.” Apart from these stars Aparajita Auddy, Rituparna Sengupta will be seen in this movie.

On the other hand, actress Anasua Majumdar said, “quite a different story. The audience will love it I am sure.” Speaking with the film, Pritha elaborated the film subject, “The main character of Mukherjee Da’s Wife is Konineeca and Anasua. This story revolves around a dysfunctional family and the complex yet caring relationship between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law”. The movie is expected to release on May 8 to mark the International Women’s Day.
