Telephonic interview of Rwitobroto Mukherjee with Jiyo Bangla

A very bubbly opinionated teenager with lots of positive vibes in him is enough to describe actor Rwitobroto Mukherjee. On a telephonic interview, he answered 5 questions and made us believe he is the most matured kiddo of Tollywood.

1.What made you say ‘Yes’ to the script of ‘Gupi Gayne’?

This movie ‘Gupi Gayne’ revolves around a mediocre family and that’s an interesting point. To depict their story through a movie intrigued me a lot. The second point is, we all believe in myths, at some point in time we need to stop believing them or they churn out to be dangerous. This movie is an initiative to eradicate such old heinous myths.

2.Kahaani, Open Tee Bioscope, Durga Sohay, Kishore Kumar Junior and Generation Ami, very different movies. How do connect or justify your characters?

Speaking about ‘Kahaani’, ‘Open Tee Bioscope’, I was a kid. One can easily relate to that. The funny thing is, I believe that my previous characters were more honest than my recent characters. Talking about ‘Durga Sohay’ that movie had less character shade. Things changed during ‘Rong-beronger Kori’. I usually don’t relate to any of the characters. In fact, don’t judge the character which I intend to play on the big screen. Like to adopt rather than delving deep into it.

3.Your equation with Aporajita Adhya

We are 4 film old and I treasure them. We share a different bond because she saw me when I was a baby. That’s why we don’t have to spend the time to ‘create’ any special bond. It is natural when we share the screen.

4.Spill some beans about your character ‘Gupi’ in the film ‘Gupi Gayne’.

The story of ‘Gupi Gayen’ deals with Gupi, a countryside boy who has a born talent for singing. A classical singer who inherited the talent from his deceased Grandfather and father. They were famous classical singer, still, they failed to find success. The whole anger and frustration of Gupi’s mother fell upon the singing career of his father and she decided to not allow his son to sing ever.

5.Last question, what about your next movies?

Well, the dubbing potion is done for Director Soukarja Ghosal’s movie ‘Rakro Rohosho’. Aparna Sen’s movie ‘Ghore Baire’.
