An entirely new cast has been roped in for Srijit Mukherjee’s film adaptation of ‘Chowringhee’ after the exit of his three favourites, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jaya Ahsan and Jisshu Sengupta. As per news, Swastika has replaced Jaya, while Parambrata has entered in Prosenjit’s place.
Speaking of them, director Srijit told, “She and only she could have played this character the way it has come out. It’s a tailor-made role. Param has been one of my go-to men, apart from Jisshu (Sengupta) and Bumbada (Prosenjit). I have a great tuning with him and I think he is one of the most intelligent actors around.”
