Srijit Mukherjee's suspense thriller Mishwar Rohosyo is a milestone in Bengali cinema

Srijit Mukherjee's Mishwar Rohosyo is the latest offering to the audience, who intends to celebrate the Festive season with new releases. The story of the film is based on the Kakababu series written by ace film director Sunil Gangopadhaya. No doubt, the film marks the beginning of a new franchisee.
The story of the movie says that Raja Roy Chowdhury or Kakababu (Prosenjit) is well known for his expertise in History and in addition served Indian Archaeological Survey. Incidentally, Al Mamun (Rajit Kapur), who is a wealthy businessman from the Middle East, hits upon Kakababu with an odd request. In fact, Al Mamun is one of the vital disciples of Prophet Mufti Mohammed (Barun Chandra). On the other side, aged Mufti Mohammed did not speak for a long time and communicates only through his drawings, which is quite similar to Hieroglyphic-the ancient picture writing of Egypt. Now, Al Mamun requests Kakababu to decipher such a code which he considers to be the will of the religious leader.
Subsequently, Kakababu heads to Delhi to meet the old man in person. But action unfurls before anyone can even guess what is going to happen. No sooner than Al Mamun departed from Kakababu’s home, his car was sprayed with bullets. Fortunately, Al Mamun survives the assassination attempt narrowly, but leaves his driver injured. Further assault was on Kakababu, as soon as he lands in Delhi to meet Mufti Mohammed. The targeted bullet just touched Kakababu, giving him a non fatal injury but made sure that he ends up visiting the hospital.
As a result, Kakababu’s nephew as well as his partner was called in for all adventures and made to fly to Delhi at once. Next day, when Kakababu is being attended at Hospital, the news arrives that Mufti Mohammed is producing those writings again. Without any loss of time, Kakababu rushes to Mufti’s place ignoring his injuries. After reaching, he communicates with Mufti with Hieroglyphic too. Then Mufti answers it with another set of drawings, which Kakababu deciphers as an incident which took place some decades ago and the leader wants him to investigate it. Ultimately, Kakababu decides to take off to Egypt with Santu (Aryann).
They were stunned to spot their family friend Snigdha (Swastika Mukherjee), who stays with her husband Siddharta (Sujan Mukherjee) and sister Rini (Tridha Chowdhury) in Egypt. They greet the duo at the airport. Later Siddharta, who is an Indian Foreign Service Employee invites them for dinner. Kakababu accepts the offer but there were more unexpected surprises awaiting for them in Egypt. Meanwhile, Kakababu is kidnapped by the goons of Hani Alkadi (Indraneil Sengupta)-another extremist disciple of Mufti Mohammed. As soon as Kakababu comes face to face with Hani Alkadi, a sequence of revelations take place, which changes multiple perceptions of the characters and above all the audience too.
Santu gets kidnapped too by the most unexpected person, who thinks that Kakababu is duped by Mufti Mohammed about some hidden treasure and demands the information in exchange of Santu. What happens in future is what the story deals with. Notably, Srijit has merged the story with the current political unrest in Egypt.
Undoubtedly, Mishwar Rohoshyo is a milestone in Bengali cinema. The audience can take a whole trip to Egypt for just a few bucks in this Puja vacation. The beginning of such a great suspense thriller just cannot be skipped, which is taking off from the theaters across the city.
